I sleep on them (I have 3 sets)every night. The only problem I have is making sure that anyone who wants to help with the laundry (very rare) washes them properly. My sun protective clothes require the same gently treatment and can be washed with the sheets without having to waste water on a real small load.
Egyptian Cotton Sheets are different

Egyptian Cotton sheets feel different than the usual American sheets. They are definitely softer and unscratchy. Feel good on skin.
